Scage

Structural analysis of geotechnical works

Scage is a calculation software dedicated to the structural analysis of geotechnical works

Scage allows for determining the internal equilibrium of piles and diaphragm walls in accordance with Eurocode 2 (French and Belgian national annexes) and the French national application standards of Eurocode 7 (NF P 94-262 and NF P 94-282).

Piles

Scage offers two types of studies:

  • Simplified pre-dimensioning module: it allows for determining the necessary diameter and reinforcement ratio of piles to support one or several load combinations, and this for an infinite number of piles. It also allows for estimating the maximum forces at depth based on the forces applied at the top for each combination/situation considered.
  • Detailed verification module: it allows the verification of a reinforcement cage for a set of internal force diagrams to be supported, derived from a foundation or retaining wall equilibrium calculation (import of loads from Foxta, K-Réa or Excel). The calculation is carried out phase by phase (ULS and SLS) in simple, compound or biaxial bending.

Diaphragm walls

Scage offers two types of studies:

  • Pre-dimensioning module: it allows for obtaining the necessary sections of longitudinal reinforcement at ULS and SLS as well as the necessary transverse reinforcement sections at ULS. The internal forces of the diaphragm wall are considered as input data from a soil-structure interaction calculation (SSI calculation carried out, for example, with K-Réa) taking into account the construction phases of the structure. The calculation is carried out for each phase in simple or compound bending.
  • Reinforcement cage verification module: it allows for verifying the adequacy of an actual reinforcement cage defined by each longitudinal steel bar and each small/large stirrup. The center of gravity of the longitudinal steel is rigorously evaluated based on the bars present at each level. The crack opening calculation is carried out at all levels using the exact method.
