Geodeltia is a professional society formed by civil engineers specialized in geotechnical engineering. Our knowledge is backed by more than 15 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering working on various projects for European construction companies and technical offices. We are involved in teaching and have an extensive practice in geotechnical and structural calculation programs.
Our experience
Geodeltia is born from the experience accumulated after more than 15 years of engineering practice in France, always in the field of geotechnics and structures, for various types of projects:
- Stability of natural or reinforced slopes
- Foundations: shallow, deep or mixed foundations
- Soil reinforcement: rigid inclusions
- Retaining walls: diaphragm walls, pile walls, sheet piles, etc.
- Calculation of reinforced concrete or steel structures
Expertise
Geotechnical project studies:
- Retaining structures, foundations for buildings and engineering structures as well as slope stability.
- Technical assistance to companies and project offices on modelling or constructive arrangements.
- Mastery of material resistance: reinforced concrete, steel structures, etc.
- Practice of geotechnical and structural calculation software.
- Extensive experience in organising and giving geotechnical training sessions.
What motivates us?
We like to understand what we do and why we do it, in particular:
- Understanding how the ground behaves in relation to each type of geotechnical work,
- Apply the appropriate calculation methods to model the behaviour of structures in contact with the ground,
- Be aware of the framework, assumptions and limits of each numerical model.
- Master the strength of materials in order to best represent the behaviour of the structures we design,
- To compare the results of several models in order to form a critical view of the physical phenomenon we are modelling.
Simply to be able to propose an optimised design of the geotechnical work entrusted to us.
What differentiates us?
We distinguish ourselves by our high technical level. We are not satisfied with simply applying a calculation method, we need to understand it, to know its hypotheses and its limits in order to be convinced of its relevance.
Our knowledge of structures (strength of materials) allows us to understand and anticipate the behavior of the structure we design. In addition, we like programming, we use it every day to develop our own calculation tools, which allows us to be more efficient.
Our international experience has enabled us to use and practice national and international standards, in particular the Eurocodes and their French implementation standards.
In addition, we are distinguished by our ability to listen and communicate. We like to understand the exact needs of our clients in order to adapt as well as possible.
At the same time we strive to be pedagogical, we like to explain our point of view and make sure that our client understands what we do.
